Massachusetts High School Baseball - Ayer can't hold off Maynard
The Maynard Tigers baseball team scored 2 runs and limited the host Ayer Panthers to 1 in the Tigers league victory on Monday.
The Tigers (8-4) will now prepare for their match against Bromfield/Immaculate Heart of Mary (Harvard, MA). The Trojans go into the Midland-Wachusett D challenge with a 0-11 record. In their last challenge, Bromfield/Immaculate Heart of Mary was nudged by Tahanto Regional (Boylston, MA), 14-3, in a league challenge.
With the defeat, Ayer falls to 3-10 on the season. The Panthers travel to Murdock (Winchendon, MA) to encounter the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 15. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. Murdock lost 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against West Boylston (West Boylston, MA)
