Rye Thunderbolts (Rye, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Swink Lions (Swink, CO), 12-3 in a league test.

With the win, Rye upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Thunderbolts host Del Norte (Del Norte, CO) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 17. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 13-8. Del Norte lost 8-6 in their recent league test against Custer County (Westcliffe, CO)

With the defeat, Swink falls to 15-6 on the season. The Lions travel to Crowley County (Ordway, CO) to battle the Chargers in a 2A/1A Santa Fe test on Tuesday, May 17. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 10-10. Crowley County won 7-5 in their recent league test against Rocky Ford (Rocky Ford, CO)
