The Cranberry Area Berries (Seneca, PA) softball nipped the visiting Redbank Valley Bulldogs (New Bethlehem, PA), 8-7 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Berries (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley (Rimersburg, PA). The go into the Keystone Shortway - South bout with a 6-9 record.

The Bulldogs now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Curwensville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 14. Redbank Valley will confront a Golden Tide squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to West Branch (Morrisdale, PA). The Golden Tide record now stands at 14-5.
