Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Joel Barlow Falcons (Redding, CT), 3-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Nighthawks battle the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) in a South-West match, on Wednesday, May 15. Newtown will attempt to advance on its 13-4 season record. The Panthers come into the match with a 10-6 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Wolcott RVT (Torrington, CT).

With the loss, Joel Barlow drops to 16-1 on the campaign. The Falcons host Brookfield (Brookfield, CT) to battle the Bobcats in a South-West match on Thursday, May 16. The Bobcats come into the match with a record of 5-11. Brookfield lost 3-0 in their recent league match against Masuk (Monroe, CT)
