The Hoover Huskies softball squad (Clendenin, WV), was edged 7-6 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV)

With the triumph, Riverside improves its record to 19-9 on the year. The Warriors host St. Albans (St. Albans, WV) to face the Red Dragons in a Mountain State contest on Tuesday, May 20. The Red Dragons enter the contest with a record of 12-10. St. Albans won 8-0 in their recent league contest against George Washington (Charleston, WV)

The Huskies now hold a 21-6 record.
