The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) and the visiting Cathedral Fighting Irish (Indianapolis, IN), saw Lake Central's baseball team gain a win over Cathedral by a tally of 6-2.

The Indians (19-4) will now prepare for their battle against Merrillville (Merrillville, IN). The Pirates enter the Duneland battle with a 4-17 record. In their last battle, Merrillville held off Michigan City (Michigan City, IN), 11-6, in a league battle.

Next, the Fighting Irish face the Mishawaka Marian Knights (Mishawaka, IN) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 17. Cathedral will attempt to upgrade on its 14-7 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 7-12 record after their 7-0 league loss to Elkhart (Elkhart, IN).
