May 19, 2024: Escanaba, MI 49829 Spectators at Sunday's non-league match between the South Lyon Lions (South Lyon, MI) and the host Escanaba Eskymos (Escanaba, MI), witnessed South Lyon's softball squad tip Escanaba by a count of 6-5.
The Lions now sport a 18-4 record. They play next when they host Gaylord for a non-league match on Monday, May 27. South Lyon will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Dow (Midland, MI). The Blue Devils record now stands at 29-4.
With the loss, Escanaba moves to 18-6 on the season. The Eskymos host Marquette (Marquette, MI) to meet the Redmen in a Great Northern U.P. match on Monday, May 20. The Redmen go into the match with a record of 15-17. Marquette lost 21-3 in their recent non-league match against Alpena (Alpena, MI)
