Massachusetts High School Softball - Winthrop loses to Gloucester
May 20, 2024: Winthrop, MA 02152 The Gloucester Fishermen softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Winthrop Vikings to 1 in the Fishermen league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Gloucester moves its record to 4-4 on the year. The Fishermen travel to North Reading (North Reading, MA) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league game on Friday, May 24. The Hornets come into the game with a record of 6-2. North Reading lost 7-6 in their recent league game against Newburyport (Newburyport, MA)
In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA) in a Northeast game, on Wednesday, May 22. Winthrop will attempt to move on its 3-15 season record. The Sachems come into the game with a 9-9 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Watertown (Watertown, MA).
