In Wednesday's league test, the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Deering Rams (Portland, ME), by a tally of 18-7.

Next, the Trojans clash with the Massabesic Mustangs (Waterboro, ME) in a Class A South test, on Friday, May 23. Thornton Academy will attempt to advance on its 4-6 season record. The Mustangs go into the test with a 5-5 record after their 17-10 league win over Deering (Portland, ME).

The Rams (1-8) will now prepare for their test against Scarborough (Scarborough, ME). The Red Storm go into the Class A South test with a 3-8 record. In their last test, Scarborough was routed by South Portland (South Portland, ME), 7-2, in a league test.
