Iowa High School Baseball - Southeast Polk defeats Ames
May 22, 2025: Pleasant Hill, IA 50327 The Southeast Polk Rams baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Ames Little Cyclones to 2 in the Rams non-league win on Thursday.
The Rams now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kennedy for a non-league test on Saturday, May 24. Southeast Polk will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 12-2 league loss to Iowa City (Iowa City, IA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Ames drops to 1-4 on the year. The Little cyclones travel to Waukee (Waukee, IA) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league test on Friday, May 23. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 1-0. Waukee won 12-1 in their recent non-league test against Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA)
