May 22, 2025: Plainfield, IL 60585 The Yorkville Foxes baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Plainfield North Tigers to 3 in the Foxes league win on Thursday.
The Foxes now hold a 16-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to McHenry for a non-league test on Saturday, May 24. Yorkville will play a Warriors team coming off a 3-2 league win over Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 27-4.
With the defeat, Plainfield North drops to 22-10 on the year. The Tigers travel to Normal Community (Normal, IL) to play the Ironmen in a non-league test on Friday, May 23. The Ironmen go into the test with a record of 30-4. Normal Community won 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL)
