Don Bosco Dons (Gilbertville, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Dons now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Ansgar for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 25.

With the loss, Grundy Center falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to South Hardin (Eldora, IA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 28.
