Iowa High School Softball - Denver bounces Marquette
May 29, 2025: Bellevue, IA 52031 In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Denver Cyclones softball team scored a nice 15-2 win over the Marquette Defenders.
The Cyclones (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA). The Cougars come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Sumner-Fredericksburg notched a victory over North Linn (Troy Mills, IA), 8-2, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Defenders battle the Wilton Beavers (Wilton, IA) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 30. Marquette will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Beavers come into the match with a 0-1 record after their 9-0 league loss to West Liberty (West Liberty, IA).
