In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Calais Blue Devils softball team scored a tight 10-5 win over the Shead Tigers.

The Blue Devils (4-10) will now prepare for their match against Machias (Machias, ME). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 10-0 record. In their last match, Machias nipped Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME), 15-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Jonesport-Beals Royals (Jonesport, ME) in a Class D North match, on Monday, June 2. Shead will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record. The Royals come into the match with a 7-3 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Narraguagus (Harrington, ME).
