Maine High School Softball - Shead held off by Woodland
May 14, 2025: Baileyville, ME 04694 In Wednesday's league test, the Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME) softball squad got by the visiting Shead Tigers (Eastport, ME), by a tally of 9-8.
Next, the Dragons clash with the Jonesport-Beals Royals (Jonesport, ME) in a Class D North test, on Thursday, May 15. Woodland will attempt to advance on its 2-6 season record. The Royals go into the test with a 3-2 record after their 17-4 non-league win over Calais (Calais, ME).
The Tigers (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Calais (Calais, ME). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Calais was nudged by Washington Academy (East Machias, ME), 16-1, in a league test.
