Virginia High School Softball - Hickory holds off Granby
June 4, 2024: Norfolk, VA 23505 Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) and the host Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA), witnessed Hickory's softball squad tip Granby by a count of 5-3.
The Hawks now sport a 19-3 record. They play next when they travel to Riverside for a non-league match on Friday, June 7. Hickory will meet a Ram squad coming off a 12-7 non-league win over Louisa County (Mineral, VA). The Ram record now stands at 22-3.
With the loss, Granby moves to 19-3 on the season.
