Iowa High School Softball - MOC-Floyd Valley bounces Akron-Westfield
June 7, 2025: Orange City, IA 51041 The MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Akron-Westfield Westerners to 7 in the Dutchmen non-league win on Saturday.
The Dutchmen now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Lyon for a Siouxland battle on Monday, June 9. MOC-Floyd Valley will confront a Lions team coming off a 4-2 league loss to Sheldon (Sheldon, IA). The Lions record now stands at 2-6.
With the loss, Akron-Westfield moves to 6-1 on the season. The Westerners travel to Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA) to confront the Hawks in a War Eagle battle on Monday, June 9. The Hawks come into the battle with a record of 0-6. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn lost 12-10 in their recent non-league battle against Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley (Rock Valley, IA)
