Iowa High School Softball - Lone Tree sneaks past Central City
June 7, 2025: Central City, IA 52214 The Lone Tree Lions (Lone Tree, IA) softball nipped the host Central City Wildcats (Central City, IA), 4-3 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Lions now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hillcrest Academy for a SE IA Super - North outing on Tuesday, June 10. Lone Tree will encounter a Ravens team coming off a 13-5 non-league loss to H-L-V (Victor, IA). The Ravens record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Central City moves to 8-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Alburnett (Alburnett, IA) to encounter the Pirates in a Tri-Rivers - West outing on Monday, June 9. The Pirates come into the outing with a record of 7-4. Alburnett won 12-1 in their recent non-league outing against Easton Valley (Preston, IA)
