Iowa High School Softball - Gilbert edges Chariton
June 7, 2025: Chariton, IA 50049 The Gilbert Tigers softball team scored 3 runs and held the host Chariton Chargers to 1 in the Tigers non-league win on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Winterset for a Raccoon River battle on Monday, June 9. Gilbert will confront a Huskies team coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Northwest (Waukee, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 5-5.
With the loss, Chariton moves to 6-1 on the season. The Chargers travel to Albia (Albia, IA) to confront the Blue Demons in a South Central battle on Monday, June 9. The Blue Demons come into the battle with a record of 7-0. Albia won 7-0 in their recent non-league battle against Gilbert (Gilbert, IA)
