Iowa High School Softball - West Central topped by New Hampton
June 7, 2025: New Hampton, IA 50659 New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad beat the visiting West Central Blue Devils (Maynard, IA), 20-1 in a non-league contest.
With the triumph, New Hampton improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Chickasaws host Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA) to face the Vikings in a Northeast Iowa contest on Monday, June 9. The Vikings enter the contest with a record of 5-2. Decorah-North Winneshiek won 8-4 in their recent non-league contest against Davenport Central (Davenport, IA)
The Blue Devils now hold a 0-6 record. They play next when they host South Winneshiek for a Upper Iowa contest on Monday, June 9. West Central will face a Warriors squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-7.
