June 8, 2024: Madrid, IA 50156 The Newman Catholic Knights routed the host Madrid Tigers softball squad by a final score of 6-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Knights (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Nevada (Nevada, IA). The Cubs go into the non-league battle with a 3-10 record. In their last battle, Nevada was routed by Perry (Perry, IA), 10-0, in a league battle.
The Tigers now possess a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Colfax-Mingo for a non-league battle on Saturday, June 8. Madrid will meet a Tigerhawks squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to English Valleys (North English, IA). The Tigerhawks record now stands at 2-8.
