Iowa High School Softball - Lisbon holds off West Delaware
June 10, 2023: Lisbon, IA 52253 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Lisbon Lions (Lisbon, IA) and the visiting West Delaware Hawks (Manchester, IA), witnessed Lisbon's softball squad tip West Delaware by a count of 5-3.
The Lions now sport a 11-3 record. They play next when they travel to Alburnett for a non-league match on Monday, June 12. Lisbon will face a Pirates squad coming off a 13-10 non-league loss to Camanche (Camanche, IA). The Pirates record now stands at 14-5.
With the loss, West Delaware moves to 2-8 on the season. The Hawks host Independence (Independence, IA) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Monday, June 12. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 2-10. Independence lost 10-0 in their recent non-league match against Washington (Washington, IA)
