Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now sport a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Greenwich for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 19. Mt. Hope will face a Avengers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI). The Avengers record now stands at 22-1.

With the loss, Ponaganset falls to 14-9 on the campaign.
