Iowa High School Softball - Van Meter bounces Twin Cedars
June 17, 2024: Bussey, IA 50044 Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA) and the host Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA), witnessed Van Meter's softball squad prevail over Twin Cedars by a count of 17-1.
The Bulldogs now sport a 24-1 record. They play next when they travel to Ballard for a non-league match on Tuesday, June 18. Van Meter will face a Bombers squad coming off a 10-8 non-league win over Boone (Boone, IA). The Bombers record now stands at 7-13.
With the loss, Twin Cedars moves to 10-6 on the season. The Sabers travel to Melcher-Dallas (Melcher, IA) to face the Saints in a non-league match on Tuesday, June 18. The Saints go into the match with a record of 5-12. Melcher-Dallas lost 6-5 in their recent non-league match against East Union (Afton, IA)
