Iowa High School Baseball - Bishop Garrigan loses to Pocahontas
June 19, 2025: Pocahontas, IA 50574 Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA), 6-2 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Pocahontas advances its record to 10-2 on the season. The Indians host Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA) to battle the Rebels in a Twin Lakes match on Friday, June 20. The Rebels come into the match with a record of 8-8. Sioux Central won 14-4 in their recent non-league match against South O'Brien (Paullina, IA)
The Golden Bears now have a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Mills for a Top of Iowa - West match on Friday, June 20. Bishop Garrigan will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-4 non-league win over Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-2.
