Iowa High School Softball - Iowa City West tipped by Independence
June 30, 2023: Iowa City, IA 52246 The Independence Mustangs softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Iowa City West Trojans to 6 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Independence improves its record to 18-20 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Bettendorf (Bettendorf, IA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Saturday, July 1. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 22-9. Bettendorf lost 4-1 in their recent non-league game against Valley (Elgin, IA)
In their next game, the Trojans clash with the West Delaware Hawks (Manchester, IA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, July 1. Iowa City West will attempt to improve on its 0-14 season record. The Hawks come into the game with a 15-19 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA).
