In Thursday's league test, the Alexander Cougars (Douglasville, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs (Kennesaw, GA), by a tally of 16-4.

Next, the Cougars clash with the Rome Wolves (Rome, GA) in a 5A Region 5 test, on Tuesday, August 12. Alexander will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Wolves go into the test with a 2-0 record after their 10-5 non-league win over Coosa (Rome, GA).

The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their test against New Manchester (Douglasville, GA). The Jaguar go into the 5A Region 5 test with a 1-1 record.
