The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) and the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), saw Sun Valley's volleyball squad beat Mallard Creek by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Sun Valley upgrades its record to 5-1 on the year. The Spartans host Providence (Charlotte, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22.
