August 17, 2024: Commerce, GA 30529 The Franklin County Lions softball team scored 11 runs and held the host Commerce Tigers to 8 in the Lions non-league win on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Social Circle for a non-league battle on Friday, August 23. Franklin County will encounter a Redskins team coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Banks County (Homer, GA). The Redskins record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, Commerce moves to 1-5 on the season. The Tigers travel to Banks County (Homer, GA) to encounter the Leopards in a 1A D-I Region 8 battle on Tuesday, August 20. The Leopards come into the battle with a record of 7-1. Banks County won 10-0 in their recent non-league battle against East Hall (Gainesville, GA)
