In Friday's non-league match, the host Benson Bobcats football squad scored a close 20-16 victory over the Tombstone Yellow Jackets.

In their next game, the Bobcats clash with the San Tan Foothills Sabercats (Queen Creek, AZ) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 26. Benson will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Sabercats enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 48-0 non-league win over Palo Verde (Tucson, AZ).

The Yellow Jackets (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Sequoia Pathway Academy (Maricopa, AZ). The Pumas enter the non-league match with a 0-0 record.
