Nebraska High School Softball - Crete nudges Gering
August 19, 2022: Crete, NE 68333 Crete Cardinals (Crete, NE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Gering Bulldogs (Gering, NE), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Malcolm for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 19. Crete will face a Clippers squad coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Auburn (Auburn, NE). The Clippers record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Gering falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Aurora (Aurora, NE) to face the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 19. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Aurora won 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Lexington (Lexington, NE)
