The Brazos Cougars held off the visiting Schulenburg Shorthorns volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league test.

The Cougars now have a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yoakum for a non-league test on Friday, August 20. Brazos will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to East Bernard (East Bernard, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.

The Shorthorns (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX). The Brahmas enter the non-league test with a 9-0 record.
