August 21, 2023: Newton, NC 28658 The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) and the host Foard Tigers (Newton, NC), saw South Iredell's volleyball squad nip Foard by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, South Iredell upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Vikings host North Iredell (Olin, NC) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 1-0. North Iredell won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC)
The Tigers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Maiden for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22. Foard will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-1.
