In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Watauga Pioneers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the St. Stephens Indians.

The Pioneers (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Southwestern Randolph beat Southern Alamance (Graham, NC), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 22. St. Stephens will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC).
