The Polk County Wolverines got by the visiting Chase Trojans football team by a score of 34-32 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolverines play the Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. Polk County will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Red Devils come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 42-21 non-league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).

With the defeat, Chase moves to 0-1 on the season. The Trojans host Blacksburg (Blacksburg, SC) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a record of 0-1.
