Covington Trojans (Covington, IN) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Tri-County Cavaliers (Wolcott, IN), 51-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Covington advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Trojans host South Newton (Kentland, IN) to encounter the Rebels in a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. The Rebels go into the battle with a record of 0-1. South Newton lost 42-6 in their recent non-league battle against Lake Station Edison (Lake Station, IN)

The Cavaliers now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Attica for a non-league match on Friday, August 29. Tri-County will confront a Red Ramblers squad coming off a 26-7 non-league loss to Culver Community (Culver, IN). The Red Ramblers record now stands at 0-1.
