The Sutherland Sailors (Sutherland, NE) volleyball nudged the visiting Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.

With the win, Sutherland upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Sailors travel to Paxton (Paxton, NE) to face the Tigers in a D2 District 9 outing on Tuesday, August 29. The Tigers go into the outing with a record of 2-0. Paxton won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Sandhills Valley (Stapleton, NE)

The Plainsmen now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Creek Valley for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 24.
