The River Valley Panthers thwarted the visiting Conemaugh Township Indians football team by a count of 28-7 in Friday's league test.

With the triumph, River Valley improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Purchase Line (Commodore, PA) to battle the Red Dragons in a Heritage test on Friday, September 1. The Red Dragons come into the test with a record of 1-0. Purchase Line won 19-7 in their recent league test against Cambria Heights (Patton, PA)

With the loss, Conemaugh Township drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Portage (Portage, PA) to battle the Mustangs in a Heritage test on Friday, September 1. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 1-0. Portage won 34-7 in their recent league test against Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA)
