Match Summary

First game jitters were on display Friday in the season opener between the Lockwood Lions (Billings) and the Corvallis Blue Devils. Lockwood struck first on a deflection on a corner kick early in the first half. Once Corvallis settled down they were able to equalize with a nifty goal by Chance Jessop in the first half. The Blue Devils kept it up in the 2nd half with Ryan Hutchison scoring next after a nice steal in front of the net. Then came a goal by Eli Knight who put in his own rebound. Fox Goodrich put the game out of reach with Corvallis’s final goal of the evening. The Blue Devil defense was stout throughout the contest and Corvallis was able to play most of the game on Lockwood's half of the field. Kaden Gentry played a near perfect game from the FB position. Fox Goodrich led the Blue Devils with 8 steals.
