Georgia High School Softball - Jeff Davis bounces Pierce County
August 25, 2025: Blackshear, GA 31516 The Jeff Davis Yellowjackets softball team scored 14 runs and held the host Pierce County Bears to 6 in the Yellowjackets non-league win on Monday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomasville for a 1A D-I Region 1 battle on Tuesday, August 26. Jeff Davis will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 14-6 league loss to Bacon County (Alma, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.
The Bears (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA). The Warriors go into the 2A Region 3 challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last outing, Tattnall County was routed by Robert Toombs Christian Academy (Lyons, GA), 9-3, in a non-league outing.
