Georgia High School Softball - Appling County held off by Effingham County
August 26, 2024: Springfield, GA 31329 In Monday's non-league test, the Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) softball squad got by the visiting Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA), by a tally of 2-1.
Next, the Rebels clash with the Glynn Academy Terrors (Brunswick, GA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, August 28. Effingham County will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Terrors go into the test with a 3-6 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to Wayne County (Jesup, GA).
The Pirates (8-1) will now prepare for their test against Pierce County (Blackshear, GA). The Bears go into the 2A Region 3 test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Pierce County held off Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA), 10-0, in a league test.
