West Virginia High School Soccer - George Washington knocks off Riverside
August 26, 2025: Belle, WV 25015 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV) and the host Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV), saw George Washington's soccer squad triumph over Riverside by a count of 6-0.
The Patriots (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Cabell Midland (Ona, WV). The Knights enter the Mountain State battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Cabell Midland Spring Valley (Huntington, WV), 0-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Warriors battle the Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV) in a Mountain State match, on Thursday, August 28. Riverside will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Big Reds come into the match with a 2-1 record after their 4-3 league win over Huntington (Huntington, WV).
