Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV), 2-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Huntington moves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Highlanders host St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV) to clash with the Irish in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 14. The Irish come into the test with a record of 16-1.

The Patriots now sport a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Morgantown for a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. George Washington will clash with a Mohigans team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Brooke (Wellsburg, WV). The Mohigans record now stands at 7-2.
