Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the host Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), 1-0 in a non-league outing.

The Spartans (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Heritage (Wake Forest, NC). The Huskies go into the non-league outing with a 1-2 record.

Next up, the Comets confront the Felton Grove Galaxy (Apex, NC) in a non-league outing, on Friday, September 5. Clayton will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record.
