With the win, Buckley improves its record to 7-2 on the season. The Bears host Cadillac Heritage Christian (Cadillac, MI) to face the Patriots in a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 0-1.

The Warriors now have a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Northern Michigan Christian for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, August 27. Forest Area will meet a Comets team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Brethren (Brethren, MI). The Comets record now stands at 3-1.
