August 28, 2024: Madison, VA 22727 The Madison County Mountaineers felled the visiting Staunton Storm football team by a score of 27-13 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Mountaineers play the Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 4. Madison County will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record.
The Storm (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Wildcats go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Rockbridge County was dropped by Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA), 16-14, in a non-league challenge.
