August 28, 2025: Frisco, TX 75034 Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX), 38-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Wakeland advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wolverines host McKinney North (McKinney, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Thursday, September 25. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Mustangs now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Birdville for a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 3. Grapevine will play a Hawks team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Crowley (Crowley, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 0-1.
