In Monday's non-league contest, the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Pioneers battle the Springfield Southeast Spartans (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight contest, on Tuesday, August 30. Normal University will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 2-1 league win over MacArthur (Decatur, IL).

With the loss, St. Thomas More drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Sabers travel to Centennial (Champaign, IL) to battle the Chargers in a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 30.
