In Thursday's league battle, the host Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the St. Thomas More Sabers.

The Grey Ghosts (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL). The Trojans come into the non-league match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Maroa-Forsyth beat Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL), 2-0, in a non-league match.

With the loss, St. Thomas More drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Sabers host El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL) to battle the Titans in a non-league match on Saturday, September 10.
