The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) and the visiting Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL), saw St. Thomas More's volleyball squad nip Paxton-Buckley-Loda by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, St. Thomas More upgrades its record to 27-7 on the year.

The Panthers now own a 15-17 record. They play next when they travel to Prairie Central for a Illini Prairie bout on Monday, October 24. Paxton-Buckley-Loda will play a Hawks squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Mattoon (Mattoon, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 15-19.
